DIY Relaxation Tea

Herbal remedies have been around for thousands of years and used by hundreds of cultures. With modern day technology we can combine the best herbs from every culture to create blends with the most potency and highest effect. People are looking for the natural healthy alternative to pharmaceutical medicine these herbal combinations make it available.

I grew up in family that owned an herbal supplement store and I have always adopted the idea of natural healthy healing.  I have spent many hours with my father in law designing different herbal blends and teas. During this pursuit we were constantly making custom herbal tea bags for friends, family and consumers. One thing I learned from all of this is that there are so many people who want a natural way to relax. With all of the stresses and anxiety in the world what sounds better then ending your day with a warm cup of tea.

I feel like I have come up with the perfect blend of all natural herbs that makes it so that you do not even need to put sugar in the tea the Cinnamon and the Orange spices make the perfect blend. You can also make it stronger as needed. White Willow is considered natures aspirin. Each one of the herbs is perfectly selected to help with stress, anxiety and pain that can come from our day to day lives.

1/2 tsp Kava Kava

1/2 tsp White willow

1 TBLs Orange Spice tea

1/2 tsp skullcap

1 pinch cayenne

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 tsp Chamomile

1/2 tsp Valerian Root

Add these all into a small bowl and mix with a metal spoon until evenly mixed. Then you can take a spoon full or 2 into your personal metal steeper or make your own tea bags. You can separate this into about 3 to 5 cups of tea. The longer that you let it is and soak up the herbs the stronger it will be.

You can buy all of the herbs from a number of places Good Earth or Whole foods but if you choose to buy them in bulk StarWest Botanicals they are amazing. You can also buy tea bags there as well. If you have any questions about any of this please don’t be afraid to ask.
